Vision 2030
“It’s quite ambitious, but I want to make it happen,” one of our omamas once said about her dreams. We felt the same way when, in 2023, we dreamed together about the future of the communities we work with, and about the programs and impacts of Cesta von. We had daring dreams in challenging areas, that we didn’t always fully understand or know how to articulate, but we were determined to uplift those living on the edge of society. We didn’t want to hear the same old phrases over and over again. “Things will never change!” “Nothing can fix this!” “That’s not possible!”
Vision 2030We believe that change for the better is possible. We are the ones creating reality! This vision is our shared creation, a representation of the future we chose to pursue in 2023. This vision reflects our dreams and hopes that we aim to turn into reality by 2030. It is a future that we have envisioned and planned out in advance. You too can play a part in bringing this vision to life. Thank you.
This vision was shaped by omamas, mentors, supervisors, members of the Filip and Amal program, people living in poor communities, our generous donors, and supporters, as well as coordinators, management, and the board of Cesta von. We adopted the ‘visioning’ approach based on advice from Ari Weinzweig, our friend and co-owner of the inspirational Zingerman’s company. The vision was illustrated by Ryan Stiner, who has been co-creating Zingerman’s visual style for nearly 15 years.
